Commit it So
An absence of commitment indicates that you have chosen
to remove your vision of success. As a result, your life is neither
satisfying nor rewarding. Recommit to your plans and the people that
are most meaningful in your life. It really is as simple as that.
"Drop and Gimme Ten"
Every one of us have God-given dreams, desires and goals that we put on the shelf. In front of them are a litany of excuses - but not one reason - why they aren't being pursued. Here are some of the most popular:
It doesn't take a "social scientist" to prove that life is happening
faster than ever before. So fast, if you leave your dreams on the shelf
too long, you'll sabotage your success and your destiny. Your
dreams will collect so much dust you won't even see them anymore! Most
of us have excuses (a.k.a. "reasons") for what's keeping us from our
goals right now. However, these "reasons" have absolutely nothing to do
with what's going on outside of our lives, and everything to do with
what's going on inside. What's holding us back from creating
and experiencing the life of our dreams comes from the inside.
From within, we concoct a multitude of excuses and a barrier of
fear. This separates us from our destiny. Conversely, reasons
and desire connect us to our destiny.
Ready to add life to your years? Then it's time to plan, and then do. Today is the day you take your dreams off of the shelf and remove all the dust, fear and doubt. Today is the day you run out of the excuses and into the reasons.
Drop the excuses and gimme ten reasons to pursue your dreams, now! Need
some help? Consider these:
Powerful, compelling reasons give you "permission" to
succeed and the passion to plan. Reasons put the fire in your belly,
pep in your step and give you steam for your dream. I discovered that
many people have no reasons for achieving at all. Unbelievable! When
there are no reasons; there are no goals. Where there are no goals;
there is no vision...

Take the time and write out your plans and at least
ten reasons for achieving your lifetime dreams, today!
It Has to Really, Really Matter
What we do most frequently, makes us distinctively humans. More often
than not, we invest most of our time, on things that really
don't matter. Make a point to focus on what's most important
each waking hour. Make a habit of asking yourself: "What really,
really matters? What's the most important thing I can focus on - then
do - right now?" Be purposefully, proactive. Start by
identifying the most import tasks that need your attention each day.
Honor your values, goals, personal and professional commitments. After
you identify your most important tasks, prioritize your day. How do you
do that? Put your objectives in order of importance. Determine what
part of your day will produce the most rewarding and satisfying
results. Finally, approach each task with the enthusiasm and expectancy
needed to achieve. In doing so, you'll discover that what's most
important in your life; what really, really matters ... will have
miraculously manifested into your day.
Succeed Like the Super-Successful
Two undeniable traits of the super-successful are their belief in self,
and a strongly-held expectation that they will succeed ... no matter
what. Their dreams and goals are real. So real, these
individuals stay inspired despite any and all obstacles. The
super-successful believe and do differently from everyone else. They
sustain an attitude of fervent expectancy. They have an
uncompromising passion for success which fuels their entire belief
system. Oh, and just what is the belief system of the
super-successful? It's this premise: "My goals are well on
their way to being achieved. It's a "done-deal!" Successful
people keep this mantra in their mind all the time. That's why they're
always smiling! They simply have something sensational, to smile
about. Speaking of smiling...
I recently saw Earvin "Magic" Johnson, former NBA, MVP and current
"almost-billionaire" businessman being interviewed on TV. He exudes
charismatic expectancy when he speaks about his enterprises and next big
business ventures. Now, Magic is in a league of his own. He's super,
super- duper-successful. Seemingly and effortlessly,
he believes his visions into fruition. And, he has an
incredible aura for successfully projecting his vision to investors,
promoters and consumers alike. As the result, he is owner of a whopping
76 Burger King Restaurants, 42 Starbucks coffee houses, 11 Magic Johnson
Movie Theaters, three banks, several music, film and television
companies...would you believe this list goes on?
Succeed like the super-successful. Employ enthusiastic
expectancy in your quest for success.
