Four Fantastic Starts

The following four, fantastic "starts" can get you off and running to an immediate, "new beginning" in every area of your life.

1. Start Dreaming
People do the most amazing things after a dream.  Dreaming can alter any circumstance, any situation, and any life!  Start dreaming and position yourself to bask in a multitude of solutions and possibilities.  Dreaming can help you discover the very best in you.  Dream, and celebrate the awakening of the sleeping desires of your heart.

2. Start Seeing
Everything that is seen, began or originated from the unseen.  Imagine what your life could be like when you start seeing, the unseen.  You'd be able to look well beyond every horizon; and problem.  Every blank canvass; and every "zero balance."  There, in plain view of every "that which is," is a "that which can be!"

3. Start Speaking 

Start speaking what you desire.  More often than not, we fail to articulate our goals, dreams, visions and targets.  Consequently, they never appear.  Say out loud exactly what you expect to see.  Expect it.  Speak, what you seek.  Isn't that how light first came into existence?
4. Start Moving
Take a moment and reflect upon where you are right now.  Then, start moving!  Stop entertaining your hurts and move towards what works. Happiness and fulfillment begins and ends with moving towards your desires.  Make things happen.  Remove all of the limitations and barriers that impede your progress.  Experience the incredible feeling of completeness when you design, shape and then reach your destiny.
Shine in Your Right Now!  
There really is no better time to shine than in your "right now."   Don't put off your lighting; adjust your lighting!  Let it reflect and illuminate your best at all times.   
100 Steps: The Solution to "Where in the World Do I Start?"

More often than not, your most life-transforming goal never gets realized simply because overwhelm discourages you to begin. All of us have experienced this sentiment at one time or another.  Consider this strategy.  It's called 100 Steps.  The key is to start somewhere.  Commit to taking one, powerful step of action for each of the next 100 days. Your progress -- especially when documented -- will not only establish momentum, but will become highly visible.  Taking specific steps that you know will lead you to your goal, releases endorphins and enhanced vision. Your vision combined with these endorphins give your body an incredible sense of elation and new energy. Resolve to take 100 steps in 100 days and triumphantly, catch up with your success.
Twenty-seven Seconds to Greatness
Twenty-seven Seconds to Greatness is a powerful strategy that anyone can use be used for any situation.  Amazingly, it's so powerful, it only requires 27 seconds or less to implement. Professional and amateur athletes, entertainers, speakers, educators and others utilize this strategy to quickly go from where they are, to where they want to be.  The beauty of Twenty-seven Seconds to Greatness is that it is so incredibly simple!  All that is required is that you close your eyes, visualize your ideal outcome, affirm it, emotionalize it, then release it. See and feel your ideal outcome playing out successfully. From here, you go onto the court, into the batter's box, classroom, the courtroom, ...wherever you need to be great!
Five Years from this Day
Put yourself on "fast track" and learn the secret success habit of the super successful. Save time, money and frustration and avoid the painful and costly mistakes that can be the difference between success and failure.  Read what you need to read.  See who you need to see.  And be, who God created and predestined you to be.

Five Years from this day you have:

  • Not one; not two but three MBAs! (two, of which are Massive Bank Accounts) How did you get them? 
  • Optimal health and energy.  What did you do?
  • Tenants in your dream house, and are about to close escrow on another.  Who do you know?
Or ...
You passed on all of the people of influence, life-transforming ideas, God-given visions and opportunities that came your way.
Make it a Habit and Move On!
List the things that you MUST do, but often put off to do later.  Now, decide from now on to make your "must-dos" a habit, and move on. Establishing and committing to a routine makes large, un-adorable, I-don't-want-to-do-this-now, tasks more doable.  Then, if you catch yourself thinking about putting a task off ... think again.

A Five-point Plan for Tight Abs and a Flat Mid-section:
1. NUTRITION: This is the most important component to achieving a flat stomach. Nothing is more important than food.

Youíll need to control blood sugar levels in order to lose body fat. This is best accomplished by consuming four to six meals per day. Donít mistake the definition of a meal for a six-course extravaganza. A meal might be an egg white omelet, oatmeal and blueberries; chicken with one-half cup of rice and a large salad with oil and vinegar, or an apple with a scoop of protein powder or cottage cheese with some fruit.  Each meal includes protein, a little carbohydrate and a little fat. In some cases, the fat is built into the protein. 

I realize four to six meals sounds like a lot, but you must keep in mind that the body is always seeking to store body fat. It (the body) doesn't care if you want to lose fat. In fact, your body would prefer to keep fat in order to accomplish its number one goal of keeping you alive in case of a future famine or drought.  Always consider the body from the inside out and not the other way around. In order to control blood sugar, eat every two to three hours throughout the day. When using the most effective nutrient ratios, this helps to control blood sugar (which, in turn, assists in body fat loss).

After you find "maintenance," simply reduce your calories by 200. The goal is to have you eating as much as possible and still losing fat and retaining muscle. I donít want you eating as little as possible (thereby slowing the metabolism and losing valuable muscle tissue).  The first week, you may lose 4-6 pounds of water. After the first week, you should only lose about 1.5 pounds per week. The goal is to preserve muscle and make your body a metabolic inferno. If you're not losing up to 1.5 pounds per week (it will fluctuate week to week), then reduce calories by another 100. Then, monitor your progress after one week. Youíll probably be right on track.

Youíll need to be on this nutrition program six days a week with one day being somewhat of a cheat day. Unlike many, I'm not a big fan of the "cheat" day. I find that people tend to use it as an excuse to gorge themselves.  So, on Sunday for example, you're allowed to have some pizza, a bit of ice cream, etc. But nothing extreme! When you pig out, blood sugar levels can be elevated for seven hours or more. This will absolutely halt your body fat loss and actually backfire.

Be aware of the importance of resistance training. Just three to four workout sessions, 35 minutes to an hour, each will do the trick. For every pound of muscle on your body, youíll burn 30-50 additional calories per day. Part of your program should include abdominal exercises to strengthen and build the abs. That way, when you achieve your low body fat level, your abs will be tight.  Perform three to five days per week of moderate cardio exercise for approximately 30-40 minutes. During two of the days, you can exercise at a higher intensity level to accelerate fat loss - but, only if you reach a sticking point. If you're a beginner, then remember to increase, gradually.  Do this consistently, and you will get a flatter stomach!

Is this easy? No, itís not easy. Thatís why so few people have flat and tight abs. Is it fulfilling when you achieve your goal of a flatter stomach? Definitely! As in most cases in life, the things we want and desire usually take some degree of sacrifice. It doesn't matter if you have 10 pounds to lose or 100 pounds, the formula works. So, how bad do you want it?
